If the class is about integrating technology and best practices, then why am I told what I will create, how I will create it, and the topic to research?
Grad school makes me crazy.

don't you wish that grad school profs had to teach using the best practices they teach us to use? (or, more importantly, the best practices we use at our school that don't seem to have hit higher ed yet?)
OA says it well... touche.
It's called "teaching by counterexample." My credential classes do it all the time.
What's the solution? Should graduate education professors be required to teach in a k-12 classroom once every 4-5 years? Would that help?
